Collegio Trevisio (UK)
Period: The property of the Marquis Giacomo Paleologo, it dates back to the fifteenth century; this large structure was passed on to his sister-in-law Anna d’Alençon who – after its renovation – donated it to the Dominican nuns who used it as their convent
Present Use: Today it is the property of the Collegio Convitto Municipale Trevisio
The Courtyard: The entrance has granite columns in the renaissance style; the effect is heightened by a wide courtyard with a colonnade, built by Sanmicheli. Worth observing are the capitals, each distinct from the other, decorated with interwoven floral designs and coats-of-arm with horses’ heads
